POEM SHARE: Children's poets from across the county presenting their favorite poems for Poetry Month and beyond!
Analogies are an entertaining way to introduce kids to critical thinking, and this Poem Share of "A Song for Spring" by Heidi Bee Roemer is a great way to introduce analogies to kids. Find more STEAM powered poetry on Heidi's website, Steam-Powered Poetry.
Heidi Roemer has written over 500 poems for kids. Her poetry collection, Come to My Party and Other Shape Poems is a great introduction to shape poems. She is also the co-editor, along with Carol-Ann Hoyte, of the poetry anthology, And the Crowd Goes Wild, A Global Gathering of Sports Poems.
